Hello everyone!! I like the new board!!
Damn It's been along time since I've been around, so I'm not sure if anyone's posted anything like this but here goes...
Been rollin for 2 years (many many many pills) I think all the teeth grinding, and jaw clenching is causing problems. Has anyone noticed any problems related to this. I think now I grind my teeth at night, and as of last year I've had two cavities! Sometimes I feel like I need to stretch my jaw.
Anyone...

Thanx
Suzie

Brush your teeth thouroughly after every meal and before you go to sleep.

See your dentist to see how crappy your teeth are getting.

Then find something to chew on. If you absolutely can't find a sock or something use a rolled up toilet paper roll.

The problem is not my hygene, I take good care of my teeth thankyou very much. The problem is more like the headaches I get from biting down so hard even when I'm not rollin. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed anythink like this too. I'm trying to figure out if it's E related of just a bad little habit I picked up.

Maybe you should ask a dentist. Many people clench their jaws at night when they sleep. The dentist can make you a bite plate to wear in your mouth to protect your teeth.

My jaw hurts for 2 - 3 days after I roll (and I chew gum like it's going out of style - but when i go to sleep i switch to a binky)

sue: i was eating a few pills a week for about six months at the peak of my rolling. during that time i would wake up and my jaw would feel like it needed stretched. it also felt kinda sore pretty often. i havent rolled since new years and its gone away. so i tend to think that too much rolling might be the cause. but who knows for you it could be something completely different.

i'll be quick, cause i've responded to threads like this many many times...

try taking a plain magnesium (not calcium-magnesium) supplement during or after
your trip. it should make your muscles relax. if you eat lots of fresh vegetables
and fruits, you might not need this. if your diet is poor, you definitely should try
the supplements (if you can't afford/be bothered with good food).

i too find it common for me too, the longer the duration i am high, the worse the
clench. also, the more frequent the tripping the worse the clench. MDA seems
to give me a way worse clench than MDMA. and the clenching/tightness of the
jaw seems to last several days, though the trip is definitely the worst part.

if you drink a lot of milk, or have other calcium sources, you might want to avoid
those before you trip. calcium and magnesium work together to tighten (cal) and
loosen (mag) your muscles.

one theory on the clench is that your bodies magnesium stores are exhausted
becuase magnesium is required to make new serotonin. it is a crucial part of
tryptophan decarboxylase. but this is just a theory.

I noticed that I grind my teeth a lot. Not so much as I used to cause I try to control it now but it used to be so bad it was like winter outside but I was in a club. My friends always used to tell me they knew I was rollin hard because my teeth were chattering so much. I went to my dentist and she asked me if I grind my teeth a lot. I have bad teeth to begin with but rolling has messed them up more than what they would have been. It is evident when I look at my teeth plus the dentist told me that grinding my teeth has done some damage. You may want to check with your parents to see how their teeth are. If bad teeth run in the family, be careful, you could be in for some dentist visits.

i usually chew alot of gum when i roll, the last time i did it (carl cox live) y just couldnt separate my teeth, like all my strength was in my jaw, i went for some ice to cool my self down and the bartender gave me an iceberg and when i tried to break it with my teeth i kinda broke my jaw!!!!
i had to relocate it and i couldnīt bite for the next 2 days, some days after it just went back to its place.....

any ideas on what to do about this teeth and jaw thing???

i do grind my teeth and have clench jaw while rollin but its no different then my normal sleep night (no MDMA the night before).i only roll like 2 times a month, if that.

my girlfriend and other people who have slept in the same room as me told me i grind my teeth while sleeping.sometimes really bad and loud.i dont know if this is caused from rolling or smoking cigarettes.i highly doubt it.but its surely a sign of stress!

i also got clench jaw and teeth grinding when i have done stimulants such as cocaine and nicotine.almost always nicotine effects my teeth when im getting tired at night.they start to hurt.its purdy strange.i should look into it with my dentist.when i quit smoking cigarettes, i will be able to see if its from cigarettes.i plan on quitting soon. :]

it might be that i tend to stay up longer some days/nights, smoking more cigarettes increasing the nicotine levels in my system, causing too much.as i get tired and fight it off, and get more tired they tend to start to hurt.but in the morning are perfectly pain free.

does any1 get hurting teeth at night when tired? specially after smoking more cigarettes than usual? i would like to know.thanks

Do you get frequent headaches?? Grinding your teeth when you are sleeping is not good for your overall well being.. It ruins your teeth, makes them more sensitive, it can cause headaches.. If it is something that happens alot and doesn't matter if you are under the influence or not you might want to see a dentist or orthodontist.. I am not sure of causes but there are quite a few people that this happens too..
